The Order of the Palmetto is considered to be the highest civilian honor in the state of South Carolina, and we couldn’t have been more proud when our own Ginny Deerin joined the list of recipients last week. In a letter from Governor Mark Sanford, Ginny was praised for her tireless efforts and service to thousands of children in the state of South Carolina.

Veronica is a fourth grader and member of the Pelicans nest at North Charleston Elementary School. WINGS began at North Charleston Elementary last year, and Veronica is one of our returning youngsters, who makes us especially proud.
