Charleston-based singer Elise Testone has soared to American Idol's Top 7 this season with her enchanting raspy voice and ability to connect with the audience through her emotions. However her success didn't come as a direct flight. Elise had to put forth great time, effort, and feeling in her pursuit. While undeniably talented, it's her emotional transparency, hard work, and relentless dedication to her craft that have earned Elise her WINGS.

  WINGS hosts special screening of the film Bully opening weekend.

The spotlight on bullying has grown brighter with the premiere of the full-length documentary Bully. WINGS is honored to gather our Charleston community together for a special screening to keep the conversation going and shine an even brighter light on the skills that combat this national epidemic. In collaboration with Terrace Theaters, WINGS will host a special screening opening weekend on Sunday, April 22nd at 4pm.

Meet Akasha

Akasha is a fourth grader and member of the Blue Jays nest at Memminger Elementary School. She's in her fifth year with WINGS and strives to not only make the best choices for herself, but she also goes out of her way to encourage other kids to do the same.
