WINGS is very serious about how to teach social and life skills in kids So serious, we’ve got 45 learning objectives to measure ourselves against it.  One of those objectives is:  Kids will demonstrate communication skills through expressing their feelings and thoughts effectively, actively listening to others, offering supportive feedback, and assertively expressing their own needs.

So have some fun and make a wordle. All you have to do is express your feelings toward someone – push a button – and you’ll have something worthy of a refrigerator door or maybe even a frame.

Here’s one I did for my grandson who is just 15 months old. Never too young to get used to lots of positive communication! Make your own word cloud.

What are life skills? You’re never too young to start learning.

Wordle transforms homework angst into mother/son fun

I tried this with my son when he got hung up with angst and frustration over his homework assignment to list 10 adjectives describing himself. An agonizing ordeal transformed into a fun experiment while we watched the words jumble and re-jumble on the screen!

This is really fun

Take a minute to create one for each of your kids. Give it to them at bedtime as you tuck them in. Education First
