Nestle now sells something called "Brain Development Juice" as part of the Juicy Juice brand of drinks for kids. It contains DHA, which aids brain growth. Vitamins and minerals are good, but what breakthroughs in brain science have shown us is better than any supplement - that a steady and effective program to help children acquire and practice social and emotional skills improves their chances for success and happiness. It's not as easy as buying a certain brand of juice, but the results will last a lifetime.

The results WILL last a lifetime

This statement could not be truer. There is definitely a direct correlation between being socially and emotionally intelligent and having greater chances of leading a happier, more successful life. Kids today are able to learn and develop in a fast paced world, and are learning many skills earlier than previous generations, including social skills. It is amazing to watch a child socially and emotionally grow. But regardless of age, once a person obtains and practices social and emotional skills, the results will last a lifetime.

Interesting...

I think it's great that a huge company like Nestle is realizing the importance of social and emotional skills for kids. If more companies as big as Nestle would start gearing themselves toward products that emphasize social and emotional intelligence, perhaps parents and other people will listen and see it too.
