What a charge! Our staff is still glowing from the visit by MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski and how they were bowled over by our kids. Said Joe: "It's an amazing program doing great stuff with disadvantaged kids" when he mentioned WINGS on his program the next morning. He had fun teaching the kids how to do a "grip and grin" handshake that he learned as a congressman from Florida. Mika, towering on high heels, wanted to race the kids - could have been dangerous for her! Here's the video, brimming with laughs & excitement & Mika and Joe reciting The Creed.

WINGS kids Soar
It looks like everyone is having so much fun in this video! I am so proud of the WINGS kids for living the Creed by being kind and caring, showing support to their visitors, and wanting to learn more about them. Some kids would be intimidated by big name guests and a bunch of visitors, but at WINGS, the kids have learned to be both self and socially aware which is helping them become more confident, proud people. It seems like Joe and Mika enjoyed thier visit to WINGS and I think it's great to see WINGS get some national attention! WINGS flys high!
