There's a fascinating account in Fortune magazine of how Warren Buffett and Bill Gates plan to provoke unprecedented donations of wealth to solve the big problems of our time. It's mind-boggling, and we salute their bold idea!

Wealth & Power

With wealth comes great power, and with that power comes the ability to enact great change. The top 400 wealthiest Americans have the power to change the quality of life for many Americans and assist philanthropic organizations across the nation. By pledging to donate 50% of their net worth during their lifetime or at the time of their death, they will be making the largest philanthropic contribution in history. Thanks to Gates and Buffett for initiating this!

what charities do with your research dollars

before funding any charity, please visit. reform march of dimes.org (learn how charities misspend research dollars) & mrmcmed.org, thank you for your time. ps, animal research has NEVER been validated. "work on prevention of polio was LONG DELAYED by an erroneous conception of the nature of the human disease based on MISLEADING experimental models of the disease in monkeys" albert sabin, m.d., during a 1984 house subcommittee. (cancer) "if curing mouse cancers were enough. we would have cured cancer IN THE 60S" dr.donald morton, john wayne cancer institute. "there is a laundry list of problems with mouse models of cancer research" dr.bob weinburg, director of the ludwig center for cancer research at m.i.t., does your charity fund animal research? please visit, humaneseal.org

Kudos to Bill & Warren

This is a great idea. With all the money they have, they will not come close to spending all of their fortunes before they die. By donating to philanthropies and charitable organizations, they are putting their money to good use. What good does an insane amount of money do if it will ever be used? Imagine having good clothes in your closet that you never wear but you don't want to just have them sitting there unused. What do you do?....Donate them.  The idea of these men is similar, they have all this money that they know won't get used during their life time so they use it to help others in need.

Brave Men, Big Ideas

Hats off to the Gates' and Buffett for proposing this idea. It's great to see how much charity work the Gates are involved in. I've always wondered who needs that much money and it's good that they recognize it, too.

I have always thought...

I've always thought that millionaires and billionaires should donate a nice bit of money to charities. I would wonder what they needed all that money for, especially since most of their money sits in a bank. I am so glad to hear they are trying to do something with it. I bet, if it all goes well, this is going to help out MAJORLY! Thanks Gates and Buffett! :)
