It's a Movement

WINGS is part of a social and emotional learning (SEL) movement and it feels good. When I first starting working for WINGS, not many people understood or cared about SEL. 13 years later, it seems everywhere I turn I see positive research about the benefits of it.

With all of the positive attention, more and more educators are interested in integrating SEL into the work they do.
Although we are on the cusp of national expansion unfortunately we can only serve so many kids. As SEL advocates, we believe every child needs a solid SEL education. Therefore we are always looking for and promoting techniques, programs and services that assist in SEL implementation.

I found this recent list on Edutopia to be insightful and helpful for anyone out there who wants to join our movement.
