Google Helps WINGS Reach Wider Audience

6 comment(s)CHARLESTON, S.C. ? A new grant from Google will help WINGS for kids spread the word that social and emotional education helps kids succeed, WINGS CEO Ginny Deerin announced Monday.
The grant, through Google’s AdWords program, could add up to as much as $10,000 a month based on the number of times that users click on WINGS ads at $1 a click.

5 comment(s)At WINGS, we’re constantly monitoring how students are progressing on the factors that make up emotional intelligence. Lately, I’ve found myself measuring up a much different demographic…our country’s leaders.
The subject’s coming up more often in mainstream media, too. In analyzing the performance of vice presidential candidates in last week’s debate, for instance, Katrina vanden Heuvel of The Nation told George Stephanopolus that “Joe Biden was forceful, disciplined, gracious and showed he had a higher emotional IQ.”
