That was David Hunter's rallying cry today in remarks to some influential community leaders gathered in Charleston, S.C., to join the ongoing national conversation about how philanthropy can have more impact by increasing investments in high-performing, results-oriented organizations.
Hunter is a co-founder of the Alliance for Effective Social Investing who formerly worked at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, where he was involved in the investment of more than $100 million.

Social and emotional skills make schools safer

1 comment(s)The Center for Social and Emotional Education, CSEE, has launched a bullying initiative called BullyBust to make schools safer and they've posted some very useful resources that do a great job of building social skills to deter this insidious threat. Their School Climate blog also gave space to WINGS to tell how using the Creed gave a big boost to improving school climate at our program sites.
