Dissecting Hearts and Growing Minds

On Saturday, WINGS kids participated in the STEM Power Workshop, where they learned tons about what it takes to succeed in future careers! Over 30 WINGS kids in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade were able to work hands-on dissecting lamb hearts, listening to human hearts, and learning about starting a business.

Here's what the WINGS staff had to say:

"STEM Power Workshop is such an amazing program, that is both fun and educational!! It's definitely a program that is geared towards helping children succeed! I would be honored to take our WINGS kids again!!" - Meagan Landers, WINGSLeader at North Charleston Elementary School

"The event was inspiring. Every session no matter how easy or difficult, encouraged the kids to see their potential and ability to accomplish anything they wanted. " - Cheryl Hollis, Regional Operations Director for WINGS-South Carolina

"STEM was engaging while introducing kids to careers in engineering, medicine, and business. This is so important in helping our kids SOAR!" - Jenna Law, WINGSLeader at North Charleston Elementary School

We are on cloud - nine knowing that WINGS kids got even more skills they need to soar!
