Ending the Year on a High Note!

Friday, May 13, 2016 marked the last day of four years of WINGS programming here in Atlanta! As is our tradition, each of our four school programs celebrated the end of the year with a student graduation and performance.

Proud parents packed the cafeteria at Love T. Nolan Elementary School in College Park for the WINGS Graduation Ceremony on May 12, 2016 to celebrate the end of the programming year and the accomplishments of WINGS kids.

WINGSLeaders and WINGS kids performed dance routines to oldie-but-goodie songs from the 80s and 90s during the ‘Throwback Thursday’ ceremony. Program Director, Roosevelt Corbett, served as MC for the event and challenged parents to name the artist of each song. Afterwards, WINGSLeaders presented each child in their Nest with a certificate congratulating them for successfully completing the program this year. Fifth graders received special recognition since this is their final year of WINGS. Though staff were sad to see them go, they’re confident that they’ll continue to fly high in middle school with the SEL skills they learned in WINGS.

In September, we kick off the 2016-17 WINGS program! We can’t wait to see our kids soar through another fantastic year.
