Meet Akasha

Akasha is a fourth grader and member of the Blue Jays nest at Memminger Elementary School. She's in her fifth year with WINGS and strives to not only make the best choices for herself, but she also goes out of her way to encourage other kids to do the same.

Akasha's WINGSLeader, Jessi, says that she is an asset to the nest and regularly illustrates the lessons that we teach through her good behavior. In addition to being the embodiment of so many of our Creed lines, Akasha often uses it as a tool to motivate other kids to be their personal best. A recent example of this took place on the school bus when Akasha told her younger cousin to step into others' shoes and make the best choices for herself.

Akasha, kids like you really inspire us to charge ahead with our mission. We're so proud of you and look forward to seeing you soar in the coming years!

Use what talents you possess. The woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang the best.
