Thursday, November 15 was Philanthropy Day in Charleston, SC. The purpose of this day is to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy—and those people active in our philanthropic communities. Individuals and corporations were acknowledged and celebrated for their generosity to helping make our communities a better place through stewardship, volunteerism, and financial support.
South Carolina WINGS for kids is grateful for the donors and volunteers who have helped the organization grow from one school, two full-time and 12 part-time staff to four schools, 11 full-time, and 46 part-time staff. With the support of our community, we have given over 4,000 elementary school kids the social and emotional tools to help them stay in school and out of trouble.
WINGS is blessed to be in a community that believes in helping change kids lives! Thank you SC for believing in us and being a part of the change at Burns Elementary, Chicora Elementary and North Charleston Elementary Schools in Charleston, SC and Main Street Elementary School in Lake City, SC!
