Equipping kids with the skills to succeed in school, stay in school and thrive in life.
Why Social Emotional Learning?
The Need
More than 12 million US kids live in poverty. Children from under-resourced communities miss more days of school, have lower vocabulary and lag significantly behind their wealthier peers. The type of learning kids receive during school does not do enough to close this gap.
The Solution
Research shows that social emotional learning significantly helps to foster the mindsets, skills, and confidence within each child to manage emotions, make good decisions, and build healthy relationships – skills necessary for success in school and life.
The Results
Our research proves that social emotional learning results in higher self-esteem, lessened anxiety, measurable academic improvements, improved classroom behavior, significant display of executive function and increased attachment to school.
